Recycling Practices
We routinely recycle the following materials:
Cardboard and Paper
We recycle all paper and cardboard waste, including packaging materials and office paper. These materials are either reused in our own packaging processes or separated and collected by a licensed commercial recycling contractor.
Batteries and Waste from Electronic and Electrical Equipment
As a producer of electronic equipment and batteries, Van Essen Instruments complies with all regulatory obligations. End-of-life electronic devices and batteries are collected and recycled through Stichting Organisatie Producentenverantwoordelijkheid E-waste Nederland (OPEN), a certified organization that manages the recycling of electrical waste and batteries.
Office Equipment and Consumables
Outdated or broken office electronics are either returned to the original manufacturers or disposed of through Stichting OPEN. Toner cartridges and other consumables are recycled either via manufacturer return programs or through certified charitable collection initiatives.
Waste Disposal Practices
Disposal of Non-Hazardous Waste
All non-hazardous waste from our office and warehouse is collected and disposed of by a licensed commercial contractor, ensuring full compliance with waste management regulations.
Hazardous Waste
Although we do not produce hazardous waste directly, we may generate small quantities of waste items classified as hazardous through everyday business operations. These items are safely segregated and stored on-site before being collected and disposed of by an authorized contractor.
Customer Diver Products Recycling
For Local Customers
For customers in the Netherlands, end-of-life Diver products can be returned to our office for proper recycling via Stichting OPEN. Please contact us to arrange a return.
For International Customers
